Residences W34 and W36 are located in Fond Saint Martin, Luxembourg-Weimerskirch, in a quiet, outstanding residential area. Situated below the Kirchberg plateau, this location offers a variation in relief, enhanced by a wide variety of planted landscapes. In a quiet setting, the residences are very close to European institutions, the Kirchberg business district and major transport routes.
Each building is a residence with 3 apartments distributed as follows: a first floor comprising the entrance hall with staircase and elevator, indoor parking, technical and waste rooms. The quality of perception is a determining factor in the choice of materials, and the architecture uses a sober, clear language. The textured roughcast facade creates a play of reliefs, accentuating the facade’s vertical and horizontal lines. This is complemented by a matrix-covered concrete base, housing three parking spaces per residence. The dominant white tone of the facade is contrasted by the dark hue of the exterior joinery and anthra-zinc roofing.
The steep slope of the land allows the creation of terraces at the rear of the building and a garden divided into three levels.
